(x) William of Gloucester (c.1147), Penny, 0.88g, uncertain mint, [+ wil]lelm, the m rounded, crowned bust right holding sceptre, the crown flat and decorated with four 'pearls' similar to that on coins of Henry of Anjou, rev. [...]lel[...], quadrilateral over cross fleury with pellet in each angle, similar to the last type of Henry I and also the last type of Henry of Anjou (BMC p. cxxix - this coin; Mack 262 - this coin; SCBI 20 (Mack) 1642 - this coin; N.945/1; S.1332), several cracks, otherwise good fine and toned, with a clear and distinctive Angevin portrait, extremely rare
