(x) Stephen (1135-54), Penny, 1.08g, Cross Moline (Watford) type with defaced obverse die, Nottingham, Swein, crowned and diademed bust right, holding sceptre in right hand, defaced by small cross with pellet in one angle, rev. + [s]pein : on : s[not], cross moline, fleur in each angle (Mack 149oo and pl. IV - this coin; SCBI 16 (Norweb) 313 - this coin; same dies as SCBI 12 (Ashmolean) 273 [= Mack 149dd], SCBI 17 (Midlands) 718-720 and, from the Nottingham Hoard, 818-826, and SCBI 20 (Mack) 1629 [= Mack 149bb]; BMC 229a and same dies as pl. lvii, 3 [= Brooke, NC 1915, pl.vii, 3 = Wroth, part II, lot 155 = Danson, BNJ 1968, no. 136]; cf.
