Printing 2, June 1896 - ½a., 1a., 1½a., 2a. blue, 2½a., 3a., 4a. slate-green, 8a. magenta and 1r. green and aniline carmine
The vertical placement of the overprint was likely to show some variation between the two half panes, as illustrated by the "joins" in blocks straddling two halves


1a. plum block of sixteen (8x2), comprising left-hand pane R.1/3-2/6 with broken capital "z", no serif to "b" and no dot to "i", and right-hand pane R.1/1-2/4, 1½a. sepia strip of six, comprising left-hand pane R.5/3-5/6 with no serif to "b" and tall second "z" in R.5/3 and broken "r" in R.5/6, and right-hand pane R.5/1-5/2, R.5/1 with antique capital "z" and small second "z", and 12a. purple on red pair comprising left-hand pane R.2/6 with broken stem and bulb in "b" and right-hand pane R.2/1, all large part original gum. Also 2½a. yellow-green vertical strip of three, R.4/1-3, the upper pair with small second "z" and the stamp at foot with tall second "z", used, and 12a. purple on red vertical strip of four, R.1/6-9 with three normal second "z" and one tall second "z" with full original gum, both showing overprint misplaced to left.
