The RAF Survey Flights
1930 (1 July) envelope flown of the fifth stage from Miri to Kuching, marked "Per RAF Flying Boat No. S1419", franked at 14c. and showing "by air mail" label and, on reverse, arrival datestamp for 4 July. Photo

Note: S1419 and S1149 landed at Miri on their return flight from Brunei to Bintulu. Both planes flew from Bintulu to Mukah and Sibu on July 2nd and then flew on to Kuching on July 4th. An additional airmail fee of 10 cent per ½ ounce was charged in addition to normal postage.
