1881 (Aug.) envelope registered to Berlin and returned, marked "Via Brindisi", bearing 8c. orange (2) and 12c. blue, all crossed by manuscript "Stamped" and tied by "B/172" obliterator, showing Penang c.d.s. and framed "registered" h.s., both in red, various German rate markings, "Vom Auslande" registration label (faults) and, on reverse, various manuscript notations including "Returned to Sender" and datestamps.
