1873 (26 Aug.) envelope from Rear-Admiral Cochrane on R.M.S. "Repulse" on the Pacific Station at Panama "or elsewhere", bearing (1d.) carmine and 4d. grey sharing double-arc datestamp and with "trinidad/paid" datestamp in red below, the reverse with flap endorsed "The respective Postmasters in the Pacific Sea Ports are requested to forward this letter to the place where the flagship "Repulse" may be found as it's present port is not known here", St. Thomas transit datestamp (2.9) and with manuscript "Recd at Coqbo Sep 26/73"; 1d. and envelope with some faults though a remarkable Pacific destination and very scarce from Trinidad at this time.
