1893 (1 May) van Gorcum envelope from Bremersdorp to Holland, bearing ½d. black overprint, ½d. carmine overprint, 1d. and 2d. perf. 12½, all neatly cancelled by squared-circle datestamps, Johannesburg (5.5) and Assen (29.5) datestamps on reverse; envelope with central vertical crease between two of the adhesives, and with a few small faults on reverse.
