1912-23 MCA $500 purple and orange-brown, a top left corner example with plate number, superb colours, the stamp unmounted; tiny and insignificant tone speck on reverse, mentioned only for the sake of accuracy, and with hinge mark in top selvedge. A superb example of this great Straits Settlements rarity. We record only eight examples of this stamp in private hands, of which this is the only example with plate number. S.G. 215. Photo
