Great Britain: South Staffordshire Tramways Company, ordinary stock, 18[89], #684, scrollwork at left, blue, together with South Staffordshire Tramways (Lessee) Company Ltd., deferred shares, 190[4], #353, brown. Formerly South Staffordshire and Birmingham District Steam Tramways Company, name changed in 1889 and modernisation and electrification commenced. Electric lines transferred to the latter company in 1899. The company ceased in 1924, when the services were split between Birmingham Corporation Tramways the Wolverhampton District Electric Tramways Company, and the Dudley, Stourbridge and District Electric Traction Company.
