1903-18 Columbus and Medicinal Springs Issues
The collection of the Columbus and Medicinal Spring issues, including 1903 CA ½d. to 5/- overprinted "specimen" (5 sets, two affixed to pieces) plus ½d., 2d., 2½d., 3d., 6d., 2/- and 5/- similarly overprinted and additionally handstamped "ultramar" (all with small faults), mint and used (2) sets, the latter with additional 1d. (2) and 2½d. cancelled by large part "st john/ship letter" h.s., 1905-08 ½d. (2, one with broken "m"), 1d. and 2½d. overprinted "specimen", ½d. dull purple and deep green marginal plate number block of six and corner block of four, 6d. plate number blocks of four (2), 1/- on ordinary paper, 5/- mint marginal blocks of four (2) and used singles (2), and 1916-18 War Tax ½d. and 1½d. overprinted "specimen" and 1½ imperforate plate proof (design touched and creased). A good lot in generally fine condition. Viewing recommended. S.G. 1-23, £3500+
