Note: This cover was intended for the R.M. Steamer at St. Kitts from the known correspondence between Hollings at Montserrat and James Sanderson at Barbados. Too late for the bag as no G.P.O. Montserrat Paid was applied, and conveyed by the Cassin Contract Mailboat to St. Kitts (Frederick Cassin of Antigua carried mail between St. Kitts, Nevis and Montserrat, when this contract was started is uncertain but it was renewed in February, 1874).
