1872 (23 Dec.) envelope from Charlotte Town to Scotland, bearing 6c. black with five-pointed Star cancellation (P130) and with Paid Liverpool Br. Packet datestamp (24.1) towards left; the top right of envelope and 6c. torn through opening, repaired on reverse, and with the 6c. additionally crossed by light crease. Very rare, being one of only two recorded examples of this value paying the transatlantic rate. Greene Foundation Certificate (2004). Photo
