1871 (4 Mar.) envelope from Charlotte Town to Hitchin, bearing perf. 11½-12 3d. blue (2) cancelled by obliterator (P144) and paying the single letter rate to the U.K. via U.S.A., showing P80 datestamp (2, one additionally tying the one stamp) and with Paid Liverpool Br. Packet datestamp (19.3) in red, arrival datestamp on reverse; the envelope and stamps torn through at upper right upon opening and repaired.
