1869 (10 Dec.) octuple rate entire (355x101mm.) from Charlotte Town and carried on the Inman Line vessel City of Antwerp (left New York on 14 December) to Wakefield, bearing perf. 11½-12 9d. reddish lilac strip of three, a pair and singles (2) clearly cancelled with oval of bars, showing despatch datestamp at right and with Paid Liverpool Br. Packet datestamp (26.12) below, arrival datestamp (27.12) on reverse; filing folds and other small faults nevertheless the unique U.S. Packet four ounce octuple rate franking and the largest Pence issue cover recorded.
