Pseudo-Imperial, Merovingian dynasty (?), AV Solidus, in imitation of Justinian I (AD 527-65), 4.43g, d n ivstini-anvs p p nc, helmeted and cuirassed bust facing, rev. victori-a avggg, aangel standing facing, holding staff surmounted by Chrismon, and globe cruciger, conoc in exergue, the last c retrograde (cf. Belfort no. 5234; cf. MIBE, p 113, no. 7 {prototype}), minor striking crack through bust, otherwise good very fine, rare, and of historical interest
