Note: Lloyd's Weekly Casualty Reports of 2 October 1936 stated that "...on September 29th 1936 the eastbound Imperial Airways airliner "Athena" was destroyed by fire at Delhi Airport. The fire was caused when the engines were being started in readiness for take-off. About half the mail for places east of Delhi was lost. Of the remainder, the letters were charred but are decipherable. Only 35 bags intact...out of 113 mailbags and 93 packets"
