This service carried African mail to Cairo where connection was made with Imperial Airways' London - Cape Town flight.
1933 (30 Dec.) envelope carried on first flight from Singapore to Elizabethville, Belgian Congo, marked "via Cairo & Broken Hill", franked at 67c. (two stamps with "t c & s" perfin), showing "by air mail" etiquette with, on reverse, Broken Hill (11.1) and arrival (11.1) datestamps; also 1935 (23 Nov.) envelope from Singapore to Cape Town, marked "By Imperial Airways Singapore/South Africa" and franked at 55c. (both stamps with "apc" perfin)
