1798-1883 a collection of documents, relating to Lionel Booth, inspector of Cards and Dice, with a 1798 letter from his father (also Lionel) to the Stamp Office, Somerset Place, rated "6" and with straight-line "saxmund/ham"; 1803 large indenture on vellum for a lease of tenancy on 6 Dutchess Street; 1825 entire letter to Oxford Street rated "4" and sent contrary to regulations "With a parcel"; 1860 two commission documents signed by William Earl of Lovelace, 1873 letter from the Duke of Devonshire, 1881-83 three letters from the Marquis of Huntington with regards to his promotion; some attractive bills from a "Family Grocer, Tea Dealer in Tonbridge and letters from G. Arthur W. Booth from Hoe Place, Woking, who was trying to find information about the family tree. Lionel Booth became an inspector of Cards and Dice in 1805.
