1916 (21 June) H2 2d. registered envelope from Brigadier-General Northsey at New Langenburg to his wife in London and redirected to Folkestone, uprated with 1d., 2d. and 3d. tied by F.P.O. 1 (opened 4.6) datestamps and with first setting N.F.F. registration label in pink with manuscript "19", the reverse with Chinde and London datestamps; minor imperfections though believed to be the earliest known cover from any F.P.O. in German East Africa.
