Cunard operated throughout the period from 1827-1877 and beyond. There were two major changes in Cunard's relationship with other carriers. The first was the RMSP's abandonment of her British stops after 1850. The other was Cunard's loss of her transatlantic contract to Inman in 1868. Lattimer & Co. printed Monthly Market Report from St. John's, Puerto Rico to Bermuda, per RMSP Derwent to St. Thomas and per Cunard Curlew to Bermuda, bearing 1d. rose-red Plate 124 cancelled by superb "C61" and with part Puerto Rico datestamp at foot; some splitting at folds and other small imperfections, nevertheless a very rare inter-island printed matter rate cover.
