1872 (28 Mar.) envelope from Du Toits Pan to England bearing 1/- (2) with indistinct cancellations and oval despatch datestamp on reverse, an early date of use from this office which only opened earlier in March, 1874 (22 Aug,) brown envelope (adhesive tape stain at centre) to Cape Town bearing 4d. cancelled with circle of bars and with oval despatch datestamp at lower left corner, and 1874 and 1875 pieces franked at 1/5d. and 5d. respectively and similarly cancelled
