1904 (22 May) 1c. pink postal stationery card uprated with 1c., 2c., Coiling Dragons and postmarked Newchwang, Shanghai (26.5) d.s., addressed to Broughty Ferry (1.7), re-addressed to Newcastle-upon-Tyne (6.7) and bearing Great Britain K.E.VII ½d. blue-green, and re-directed back to Glasgow; the reverse with printed message "Newchwang/May 20th/ Things are still in Status Quo. Russians still in position; the Japanese supposed to be forty miles away......Refugee Aid Society has relieved over 1700 destitute men and women escaping from warzone.... Christians not molested. remember us." and signed in manuscript "I. Webster"; some minor faults. A most unusual item. Photo
