1845 (23 Nov.) entire "From No. 1017 John McKay Corporal 19 Regiment" to Nottingham, showing manuscript "1" in red and fine Corfu double-ring datestamp over-cancelled by London Paid c.d.s. in red, arrival datestamp on reverse; clean and attractive. Photo

Note: The 19th. Regiment proceeded aboard the troop ship "Resistance" to Corfu in January 1843. The regiment stayed for three years and left for the West Indies in December 1845, shortly after this letter was written
