Denver Mansions Co. Ltd., pair of certificates for £10 shares, 18[80], #89 and 18[81], #164, both signed by James W. Barclay as director, scrollwork left, black, printed in Aberdeen. The company built the Windsor Hotel and the Barclay Hotel in Denver, Colorado. The Windsor was also financed by Horace Tabor. James Barclay was also a director of several companies operating mortgages and investments in the USA, such as the Colorado Mortgage & Investment Co., MP for Forfar and friend to Lord Airlie founder of the Dundee Mortgage & Trust Company. Liquidated 1908; together with other British Land and Property companies including Surrey & General Land Co., 1892; South Lancashire Land Co. Ltd., 1873; Hornsey Freehold Estate Tontine Co.
