Russia: Hotel d'Europe, 10 shares of 100 roubles, 1873, #3471-3480, attractive vignette of Hotel at top, ornate border, black with pink underprint, with coupons. Opened in 1875 this luxury Hotel in St.Petersburg was designed by Italian designer Carlo Rossi in Nouveau Baroque style. It was updated at the turn of the century in Art Nouveau style by Swedish architect Fyodor Lidval but after the Revolution was used as a Hospital and Government buildings. It opened again as the Belmond Grand Hotel Europe in 2015 and is classified as a Hostorical monument. AEF and rare [R9*].
