Cambridge Cemetery Company, £10 share, 1843, #70, in the name of Ebenezer Foster, Banker, and signed by other members of the Foster family as directors, scrollwork left, black. The Fosters were wealthy Mill owners in Cambridge but also formed their own Bank in the City. The bank was acquired by Capital & Counties Bank in 1905 and then passed to Lloyds. Their name can still be seen above the Lloyds Bank branch in Sidney Street.
