Newcastle & Darlington Junction Railway Co., £25 'Brandling' share, [1845], #9503, company seal in scrollwork at left, black. Opened in 1844 connecting the Great North of England and the Durham Junction Railways. The company purchased the aforementioned lines and the Brandling Junction Railway. It was amalgamated into the York, Newcastle and Berwick Railway which later formed part of the North Eastern Railway. Pin holes top left, otherwise GVF.
