1859 (21 Dec.) complete example of the "The Natal Courier and Pietermaritzburg Advertiser" newspaper to London, bearing 1859 embossed 1d. blue (design intact) with sharp embossing and tied by two strikes of the circle of dots cancellation; the newspaper with some faults as to be expected with an item of this nature, though a very rare survivor of a complete newspaper usage from this Colony.
