HI-HL strip of four, II-IJ and IK-IL horizontal pairs (originally being a block of eight) in a deep rich shade and mostly with margins all round, used together on part entire addressed to Winkworth, dated October 1841, tied by unidentified circular cancellations in black, the address panel with a good strike of the Mansfield double arc datestamp; some faults or small defects, HI-HL affixed over the edge and probably trimmed down and lightly creased. A fine and very rare franking. According to Karl Louis the fifth largest Plate 2 franking on cover recorded by him. Photo
