#9, 1844 60r Black, type II, worn impression, two examples, complete to large margins, paying the single internal maritime rate on back of July 14, 1846 folded cover from Santos to Buenos Aires, Argentina, tied by "Correio de Santos" c.d.s., charged "10" with ink on arrival, docket of receipt inside dated August 3, franking torn on opening, of no significance and as usually encountered, the "Inclinados" is one of the scarcest issues on cover in South America, and this example represents a very rare mail addressed to a foreign destination, with only fewer than ten covers recorded in this issue.
