#1 var., 1871 2kr Dark yellow first printing, an extremely rare example of the first printing of this value, used with portion of c.d.s. cancel, thin with relatively light creasing, fine appearance that shows the characteristics of this printing exceptionally well; this printing was rejected because there were numerous small spots in the Emperor's face, however before all could be destroyed a very few copies were released, apparently by accident, and were used in 1873; only about fifteen used examples have ever been discovered, most being faulty to a greater or lesser degree; a great rarity of classic Hungary (Phil. Hung. #I; 1,500,000Ft = $5,280.00).
