IV, ample margins to cutting at top, tied by neat "Troy, N.Y./Feb 20, 1857" datestamp to stunning and huge embossed and hand-colored Valentines cover measuring 265x220mm, includes the gorgeous and very elaborate original enclosure with extensive handpainted gilt on the embossing, two silk ribbons with stickers affixed, a pink heart at center and other embellishments, cover with a few stained spots, otherwise very fine and visually striking; one of the most elaborate of all Valentines;
