1864 (23 Mar.) entire from Liverpool addressed to "Carabane, Casamance River, West Coast of Africa", bearing 1862 6d. lilac clearly tied by duplex and showing, on reverse, manuscript "Missent to Loanda" with Sierra Leone double-arc d.s. (19.10) and, on face, fine the only recorded example of "missent-to/sierra leone" h.s. in red. A rare and remarkable cover. Photo
