Hope 1st Decbr", bearing 1847-54 Embossed 1/- pale green (touched in places) with indistinct cancellation and showing, on reverse, despatch d.s; and 1856 (1 Oct.) envelope (discoloured) from London to Mr. J.E. Dillet, the Packet Agent in Sierra Leone, bearing 1854 Embossed 6d. mauve (cut-into) tied by barred numeral "44", showing red crayon "1d" with despatch and Plymouth datestamps on reverse
