(Jan.-Feb.) handstamped value, "1 Anna" in dull violet on 4a. brown with manuscript initials "AB", a lower right corner example neatly cancelled by part Mombasa datestamp dated 24 June. A fine and attractive example of this rare stamp. B.P.A. Certificate (1998) accompanied by copy of typed notes by John Minns confirming the authenticity of the stamp and noting it to be finest example he has ever seen, and the latest date of use of the stamp recorded by him, being carried on the June mailboat S.S.
