De La Rue reprinted 'Heads' Die Proofs.
1855-1866 Small group of reprinted die proofs (4) on thick card, comprising one 'Theed Great Britain Fiscal Head' (as used on the 1867-81 Inland Revenue issues, later authorised for postage) in light green (75x83mm.), with adhesions from previous mounting in border, one 'Great Britain Postage Head', State 1, engraved by Joubert de la Ferte in red, also with affixative staining in border (75x83mm.), a smaller format of the same engraving in red (96x128mm.), and a final small proof in black on cream paper of an unknown engraving with uncleared surround (44x67mm.). An interesting group.
