1949 Centenary of Postmaster Perot's Stamp, three handpainted essays prepared by C.W. Abbot, one a drawing of Sysyrinchium Bermudiana flower shown at left of the issued stamps, the other two being 2d. value designs similar to those adopted, one executed three times stamp size in deep blue, the other stamp-size in bright emerald-green with simulated perforations, prepared on separate pieces of card signed by designer, countersigned the Colonial Secretary and accompanied by a letter from him to Henry Tucker confirming that they are the original designs for the issue.
