Ireland – Edward I (1272-1307), Halfpennies (2), First Phase, Second Coinage (1279-1302), Dublin, type IB1, 0.67g, edwr’ /angl’d/ ns hyb’, crowned bust in triangle, nothing below, rev. civi tas dvbl inie, Roman n, Lombardic c and e, s made of crescents and wedges, long cross pattée, three pellets in each angle, slightly porous, but very fine, Type IC, 0.59g, pellet before ed, Roman e, rev. as IB, fair, the reverse better, Imitation of type IC, 0.50g, with a crude bust, three pellets below and coarse lettering, rev. civi tas dvbl ihhe, good fine (S.6250, S.6251; Stewartby p.182, IB1, IC), the second rare, the third unusual.
