Plain Cross, +edwarangldnshyb, struck off-centre,lightly toned, about fine, Phase S2 (2), Class 10cfí2, +edwarangldnshyb, crown 2 with well-shaped central lis, vestigial spearhead ornaments, bushy hair, rev. civi tas dvr eme, 1.42g, struck from a rusty obverse die, cracked, otherwise fine, 1.46g, i.m. Plain Cross, weak, near fine (N.1040, N.1041; S.1421, S.1423; the third, SCBI 39/597 this coin; Stewartby p.174, XS1a, XS1b, XS2), the third and fifth very rare with the plain cross mark (5)

The E at the start of the fifth con’s legend appears to be formed in part by a portion of a cross Moline, or is cut over the same. Possibly the trace of a previous die.
