Edward I (1279-1307), New Coinage, Pennies (4), London, Class 1c, small lettering, varieties, (i) 1.40g, crown in early state, reads edvv• and d?s, weakness in the legends, good fine, (ii) 1.37g, crown with right hand fleur broken, reads dиs•, edge crack at 2 o’clock, good fine, (iii) 1.24g, right hand fleur broken and missing, slightly clipped, nearly very fine, (iv) 1.39g, both fleurs in crown replaced by pellets, a few scrapes, almost fine (N.1012; S.1382; Stewartby p.171, Ic), the first a variety not represented in the North collection (4)
