John (1199-1216), ‘Short Cross’ Coinage, Pennies (4), London, class 6bí2, 1.22g, Abel, rev. +abel•on•lvnde, edge crack and a flat portrait, otherwise fine, the reverse better, Ilger (2), 1.31g, +ilger•on•lvnde, a good portrait, very fine, 1.54g, obv. reads /rex, flat in parts, otherwise good fine, Ravf, 1.49g, rev. +ravlf•on•lvnde, a small flat spot, otherwise very fine with an attractive dark tone, Cut Halfpenny, Ilger, 0.31g, obv. evs•r, rev. +ilg[ ], about fine (N.975/2; S.1354; Stewartby VIb2), the third rare with REX in full after the sceptre, the last an unusual reading, but clear.
