provenance:
Both ex Greek Hoard

Struck from different irregular obverse dies, this interesting pair share features of both classes 5c and 6a. The E appears with or without a spur, the legend ending with X only after the sceptre is reminiscent of class 5c*, the X is but is not composed of wedges ,but quite large and flat as per 6a1, nor is it composed of thin lines with some ends splayed resembling a cross potent. Unusual.
