Richard I (1189-1199), ‘Short Cross’ coinage, Pennies (5), Canterbury, class 4b, Goldwine (2), 1.34g, rev. +goldwine•on•, weak centres, struck on a very full flan, toned, fine, rare, 1.38g, rev. +goldwine•on•c, worn, fair, the quatrefoils in angles are ornaments, Meinir, 1.29g, rev. +meir·:·on•on•ca, wavy flan, nearly fine, Roberd (2), 1.33g, rev. +roberd•on•can, double struck, nearly very fine, 1.48g, rev. [ ]oberd•on•c[ ], flat in parts, otherwise fine (N.968/2; S.1348C; Stewartby IVb), the second unusual with the ornaments for quatrefoils, the third unusual with the 4 pellet stop after the moneyer’s name, both presumably rare varieties (5)
