Henry II (1154-1189), ‘Short Cross’ coinage, 1180-89, Pennies (3), York, class 1bí1 (2), 1.09g, Isac, rev. +isac•on•everwi, a weak portrait, otherwise fine, 1.43g, Turkil, rev. +tvrkil•on•ever, weak at the centres, excess metal, almost very fine, Cut Halfpenny, class 1bí1, 0.63g, the obverse n is double barred, uncertain moneyer, rev. +[ ]n•ever, toned, good fine, rare (N.963; S.1344; Stewartby Ib1), Penny, class 1c, 1.39g, Hvgo, rev. +hvgo•on•everw, general wear, about fine (N.964; S.1345; Stewartby Ic), Mass makes no reference to double barred Ns in his works, so presumably a new die for this mint and worthy of further research. York is a scarce mint. (4)
