Henry II (1154-1189), ‘Short Cross’ coinage, 1180-89, Penny, 1.45g, class 1aí1/1aí2, London, Aimer, bust facing crowned and with sceptre, rev. +aimer•on•lvnd, short cross voided with quatrefoil in each angle (N.962; S.1343; Stewartby Ia1/Ia2), the reverse slightly off-centre, otherwise well struck with only light wear, good very fine, very rare.
