Henry II (1154-1189), ‘Short Cross’ coinage, 1180-89, Penny, 1.31g, class 1aí1, Northampton, Walter, bust facing crowned and with sceptre, rev. +waltieronnor, short cross voided with quatrefoil in each angle (N.962; S.1343; Stewartby Ia1), rough, pitted surfaces, but all detail present on an oversized flan and very fine, very rare.
