Henry II (1154-1189), ‘Tealby’ coinage, 1158-80, Pennies (2), Bristol, class C1, facing crowned bust, sceptre top left, the mantle composed of sweeping lines with jewelled collar and cuff, a single hair curl, rev. cross potent with small cross potent in each angle, 1.48g, Eilaf, +e[ ], partly flat, attractively toned, the struck up detail good fine or better, class C2, 1.14g, Eilaf, +ei[ ]r:, a large fragment with a good portrait, dark tone, nearly very fine (BMC -; N.956, N.957; S.1339), neither type recorded in BMC, the second possibly unique and a very rare mint (2)
