(†) Banque de l'Afrique Occidentale, French West Africa, an archival specimen sheet of 25 copies of 5 Francs, 14 December 1942, black on rose underprint, baobab tree at centre, value in guilloches on either side and in each corner, reverse green on yellow underprint, central vignette of huts and palms with value in guilloches on each side and in four corners, overprinted SPECIMEN in red three times on obverse, two punch holes
(Pick 31s (25)), the sheet has been folded three times, otherwise 8 notes are about uncirculated to uncirculated, the remainder good extremely fine and an excessively rare, if not unique sheet, the individual notes with a total catalogue value of over $4000 in SCWPM (25)
