H.M.S. Albatross: 1881 (11 Jan.) neat seaman's envelope from Pte. McLachlan to Scotland whilst the 'Albatross' was stationed in Yokohama and countersigned by the commanding officer and showing a very fine strike of the Hong Kong transit c.d.s. Bears a pair of G.B. 1881 1d. cancelled by London "10" in barred oval, the reverse with Castle Douglas (17.2) and faint New Callows c.d.s. Attractive. Photo
