A collection of six letters, twenty-four pamphlets or tracts and a variety of notes and duplicates, including 1883 letter from from S. Moreley (M.P. and proprietor of the "Daily News") to Pearson Hill, 1884 letter from Patrick Chalmers to Mr. E. Halforde, 1886 Letter headed 'Windsor Castle' from Henry Ponsonby (Queen Victoria's private secretary) to Pearson Hill (includes "the misstatements of Mr. Chalmers are already known here"), 1900 two letters from H.R.H. The Pronce of Wales (one from Marlborough House, the other from Sandringham) written by his private secretary Francis Knollys offering support to Pearson Hill, the pamphlets/tracts include "Submission of the Sir Rowland Hill Committee" (2nd. Edition) by Patrick Chalmers (1886), "The origin of Postage Stamps ... The Chalmers craze investigated" by Pearson Hill (1888). "Eminent Arbroathians James Chalmers" (1890), "The Jubilee of the Uniform Penny Postage" (1890, initialled by Henry W. Hill to C.R. Clear, assistant controller, Post Offices Public Relations Dept.), "The Chalmers-Hill Controversy" by Patrick Chalmers (1891), and many others.
